In 2015, I, Chad Unger, first registered the Oak Star name. It started as an evenings-and-weekends venture until I got too busy and went full-time with my wife. My wife, Alexis, and I own and play a major role in the company's operations, along with my brother, who is a certified carpenter and oversees all of our construction projects. My sister has also joined us; she is in charge of yard care, staining our woodwork and timber packages, and re-staining decks.
Together, the four of us—along with our highly competent staff, who have become close friends—serve the Whiteshell and northwest Ontario regions. We all do our best to provide our clients with reliable, high-quality work with an honest and cheerful attitude. These values have taken us from a one-man weekend operation to the company we are today. We continue to uphold these core values in our client projects, staff relationships, and partnerships with suppliers and subcontractors.
