Oak Star provides cottage construction, repair, and renovation services as per the agreed-upon project scope. Any changes to the scope must be documented and may incur additional costs.
3. Estimates and Payments
- All estimates provided are based on initial assessments and may be subject to change.
- A deposit is required before work begins, with the remaining balance due as per the agreed payment schedule.
- Late payments may result in work suspension or additional fees.
4. Client Responsibilities
- Provide access to the property and necessary approvals.
- Ensure all required permits and local regulations are met unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
- Communicate any design changes promptly to avoid project delays.
5. Project Timelines
- We strive to complete projects within the estimated timeline; however, delays due to weather, unforeseen circumstances, or material shortages are not our responsibility.
- Clients will be notified of any significant delays and revised completion dates.
6. Warranties and Liability
- We provide a limited warranty on workmanship for a specified period (as per contract).
- Warranty claims must be made in writing within the warranty period.
- Oak Star is not liable for damages caused by misuse, natural disasters, or third-party work.
7. Cancellation and Refunds
- Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.
- Deposits are non-refundable once project work has commenced.
- Refund eligibility depends on the stage of work completed and incurred costs.
8. Dispute Resolution
- Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably.
- If unresolved, disputes will be handled through mediation or arbitration in Hadashville, Manitoba.
9. Changes to Terms
Oak Star reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of our services implies acceptance of any updates.
