This cottage foundation and structural integrity repair job started with the cottage sitting right on the dirt. The beams and 6 feet of the joists were rotten. The land around the cottage did not have great drainage and the water around the cottage drained toward the cottage. It was a huge problem.
We started by putting supports steady enough to lift the cottage onto. We then lifted the cottage 36 inches off the ground. We poured concrete all around the cottage. We built new beams and repaired the rotten joists. We then lowered the cottage back down and built pony walls around it. We also added weeping tile around it to drain all rainfall away from the cottage. We also worked on the landscaping and fixed the interior flooring. The entire project took 3 weeks and it was located on Falcon Lake.
